CHƯƠNG TRÌNH ĐÀO TẠO
Chương trình đào tạo y tá, theo tiêu chuẩn Hoa Kỳ, là một chương trình 4 năm, tương đương với bậc Cử Nhân. Đào tạo theo chương trình này, việc áp dụng hệ thống 3 học kỳ/năm và mỗi môn học hoàn tất được cấp tiến chỉ (credit) là cần thiết.
Tổng số tiến chỉ cần thiết để một sinh viên tốt nghiệp Cử nhân Y tá là 211 tiến chỉ. Theo hệ thống tiến chỉ, học đến đâu sinh viên thi đến đó. Chẳng hạn sinh viên ở học kỳ cuối cùng không đủ điểm cho một môn học thì chỉ cần học lại đúng một môn đó cho đến khi đạt được điểm yêu cầu, chứ không ảnh hưởng gì đến những môn đã đậu của 11 học kỳ trước đó.
Như mọi bậc cử nhân của những chuyên khoa khác, hai năm đầu sinh viên sẽ tập trung hoàn tất những kiến thức đại cương. Thí dụ, học kỳ đầu tiên của chương trình đòi hỏi sinh viên phải học 10 môn (tổng cộng 29 tiến chỉ), gồm có:

• Sinh Hoá học (5 tiến chỉ)
• Sinh Học (3 tiến chỉ)
• Vi Tính đại cương (3 tiến chỉ)
• Đại số học (3 tiến chỉ)
• Tâm lý đại cương--Hướng dẫn và tham vấn (3 tiến chỉ)
• Dịch vụ công dân (3 tiến chỉ)
• Thể dục (2 tiến chỉ)
• Chương trình Định hướng (1 tiến chỉ)
